Children are also battling for literacy and basic human rights. They struggle daily for their basic survival, and, for many, the struggle is for their very lives. This cannot stand. Despite UN Resolutions, despite pleas from the many who care, despite the Geneva Conventions, despite the vast amount of medication available from the mega-rich pharmaceutical companies, despite the incredible amount of food available in affluent non-third world countries, these children are fighting for their future and their physical and spiritual lives. This cannot stand.
The Children for Peace has chosen this as our motto, which has become our daily mantra:
"We will not give up, we will not give in, and we will not lose."
We are not fighting political schemes, governments or individuals. We are fighting for the survival and futures of children from all parts of the globe.
We cannot fully express our gratitude to all those who have given so generously in 2009. Your donations have provided us with the opportunity to do more than we expected.
Love your children well. They are your lifetime treasures.
